what stronghold quest are your favs and hated ones?

for best done stronghold ill say

Bard! rules totally..very interesting to do
Figther good and interesting things happen..and you make money as well
mage..snag yourself some unique items..and possibly get your pet mage to mage potions
cleric
great variation here..different for each church...my only gripe is that you have to choose a cleric kit for getting a stronghold...not possible with say a figther mage

not so good
thief stronghold
very few events..and you have to manage it well for not to loose it
Druid
a grievous hard figth with faldorn..i had to cheat with drinking a LOT of potions beforehand! took 7 seven tries before she went down
and it seems unfinished..the spirit of the grove mentions a figth for ascendancy to archdruid...possible spoiler for expansionpack?

total poor
paladin stronghold
very easy to miss if you go directly for firkraag after saving garrens child..
poor quests you get sent on..and you get ordered to slay firkraag...no sense of accomplishment...and there seems to be a bug in it...two times i think it looks like you get your paladin abilities improved..but nothing is added to your skills..a definite downer....and you get a meager full plate +2...that one is not going to be kept around after you slay firkraag

For me I would have to say the Ranger stronghold. The fighter stronghold you have to spend too much money to keep it, the Mage, you can find better stuff than the apprentices can make, paladin- why is it there when the main purpose is to get Carsomyr and you can do that just by killing Firkraag? Besides I like the moon dog fig.

yeah..forgot that one..the ranger stronghold is a good one..and you get an unique item..that only is accesbile by the quest..i heard that carsomyr was meant to be available only by doing the pally quests..but they changed it

I haven't played all of the character classes (yet!), but yeah, I'd have to go with the Ranger Stronghold, too. Plenty of storage, but not too big, and nice quests. Having a town that appreciates your presence and occasionally leaves you gifts is nice, too.

I believe the Cleric Stronghold (has been a while, so memory might fail me here) also gains you a special item. Better yet, you may choose one out of three items offered. One is the Ring of Holiness (more Cleric spell slots), a magical Armor (forgot its name - but it wasn't better than what I had when I could get it), or a Staffmace.

Given those choices, the Ring of Holiness seem to be a no-brainer to me.....

Does the Cleric with a stronghold get access to healing services at a reduced price or no cost (like when you go to a temple that you pay at??)

I think the Thief stronghold rules! It's just cool having an own guildhouse and being a member of the shadowthieves!(These guys rock!!)
