.. toward the end it got a little boring since the max ac bonus was -20 after buffing and using Elven Chain +3. Belhitfet was never easier. Ended up being lvl 17/17.. belhifet fell to a finger of death right in the face
if anyone wants the exported char for HoF or whatever, just let me know...
p.s horrid wilting is an amazing spell

That character would be a bit powerful for HOF. You're only supposed to start at 13th level. Though it might compensate being a solo.

Ring of Wizardry = double lvl5 spells (sunfire or cone of cold, map depending), the other ring = double lvl2/lvl3 spells.. i never have to sleep with the girdle of ogre and trollish fortitude. mirror image/blur with cat's grace, emotion: hope, emotion: courage, haste, and tensors at 6 attacks/round with the bow is... pretty much unbeatable by anything
my favorite thing to do was in Markets place, i walked all over the 2nd level and had about 40 thiefs trying to backstab me, so i casted a horrid wilting right on myself... i never laughed so hard when they all blew up.

Read my HOF experience...
Today, I carried on HOF mode in IWDI and found a good battle for the mode. 2 Sword Spiders soaked up 3 fireballs, 1 lightning bolt, 1 chain lightning bolt, 1 skull trap, 1 cloudkill (that killed one) and a melf's acid arrow. That's without any other melee or ranged damage, and they they were worth 10000 XP each (5 times the value in BGII )
Good, eh?

Is there a heart of Fury place in Ice Wind ZDale 1?
I am guessing there is just no additional items of beef, vanilla only.

If you have HoW, then the option for a Heart of Fury mode is added to the configuration program. So far I've seen that the blacksmith in Kuldahar has lots of new items- one that I bought was a longsword called Trollslayer- a +2 (I think) sword with damage split between slashing and fire. Very useful. I think a +3 club was added to the game in Dragon's Eye too. That's as far as I have got. There may have been a few more bonus items too on Orrick and scattered throughout the game.

There is a HoF mode, but I don't think it adds anything in the way of items. The new items are there in Heart of Winter, too, not just HoF.
HoF is easier in IWD1 than in IWD2 - in IWD1, the monsters just have huge HP and a better chance to hit, not a massively increased number of attacks.

No, I think the items I mentioned are for the most part unique and not in HoW (unless you play through HoW in HoF mode maybe).

Are you sure? I've bought and used Trollslayer before in a non-HoF game.

Are you looking for suggestions for another party, Patrick? What have you used so far?

I think he was looking for someone else to comment on whether HoF had bonus items or not
The +3 club I was referring to is named 'Peacekeeper' I believe. It may be available somewhere else without my knowledge in HoW, but I don't think I've seen it before. It has the appearance of a HoW added weapon rather than an original IWD item, though.
EDIT: I'm not sure how many items are added to merchant inventories in IWD by HoW. That may account for bonus items. It is possible that HoF gives you the more powerful random loot but I'm not certain.
