The last time I played the battle I used the control summon ability to control the two 'overlords' and then their summons, so the battle against the demon was quite easy . Unfortunately, nothing happened afterwards, no congratulations, no videos or cut-scenes .
Has anyone else had this problem?
Do you have to kill the Overlord summons to complete the game?

According to a walkthru for Divine Divinity, you can't use spells or summons to win the final fight. This means going one-on-one with combat skills. A mage MAY be able to use some magic spells, but I'd rely on melee to make sure you get the final video.
