freeze

i keep freeing the imps from the citadel in the beginning of act 2, then samuel tells the hunters to kill me, then i freeze and can't get past this part of the game, no matter what i do. Is there a key or anything i can do to skip the speech parts and just cross the lava bridge? i mean its not really frozen, there are still creatures walking around and you can see him moving when hes breathing, so its not frozen really, just stuck. anyone else have this problem anywhere else in the game?
