Spoilers of the general plot of the game and availibilty of NPCs follow.

I'm going to start a game in which I try and rescue Imoen very fast, then get after Irenicus as fast as I can, then get the Rhynn Lantorn as fast as I can and hoof it to Jon and kick his behind... I hope. Basically, when the game says I should hurry, I am actually going to hurry up.

The problem is that you can get enough money by not even doing any of the quests (or perhaps just releasing the slaves in the CC), and I am going to pay Gaelan as soon as I can. This means I can't have Nalia, Keldorn, Edwin or Korgan etc. in my team: I don't have time to finish their quests. I will also miss out on many items and a lot of XP

Has anyone ever tried doing something like this? How did it turn out? How quickly can you finish the game? What level would you be?

edit: Shoot! This should have been in the SoA forum. Would anyone be so kind as to move it?

I'm not sure, but by soloing something warrior-ish with Ring of Regeneration there would be no sleep needed unless when you're really fatigueed. Actually, this sounds pretty fun and I might consider trying to do it as fast as possible next play-through.

I just checked my old saves.

SOA: 37 days, 8 hours soloing an Undead Hunter
SOA & TOB: 52 days, 20 hours soloing an Undead Hunter

Perhaps my solo Monk could have beaten that, but I wasted a ton of time waiting for new quests in the fighter stronghold to come up to finish it (so that lasted like 95 days). My record with the undead hunter is doing just about every single quest while avoiding rest a lot (quite often to the point where I have to rest just to cure my fatigue rather then regain healing spells).
