Game stopping bug: Character Blocking Door

As you can see, I need to see the mage in this tower.
As you can see, I cannot see the mage in this tower because his flamboyant cabana boy is blocking the door.
As you can see, I will never buy another Dreamcatcher game again.
Is there some kind of damn noclip mode or something I can do to get past this? I am SO not starting over from an old save, as the last time I went into this tower (which I am assuming is when the stupid assistant got stuck in the doorway) was well before heading out towards Galdryn's castle. Hours before this point.

Stuck in doorway
Try backing up, that same thing happened to me, evidently i was to close to the door. When I backed up, he came through the door and then you ride up the platform to the top.

I've tried everything - backing up won't help, as he was stuck like this when I entered the tower itself. He just continues to walk forward into the jammed doors, stops for a minute, then walks forward again. There's no way I can seem to get him to move.

Reloaded an old saved game and did everything all over again. Went back and the idiot wasn't stuck in the door, thank God. Walked to the back, stood on the elevator, and it won't move.
That's it, I'm returning this game tomorrow for a ****ing refund. If anyone on this forum is here to decide whether or not they want to buy it, DON'T BUY THIS GAME. What a piece of trash.

happened to me too. i fireballed his a$$ and it knocked him back enough to get through

the forum rules, especially this one:

As it happens, "ass" isn't considered profanity on GameBanshee. But deliberately avoiding profanity to get it on the board can get you banned. Please keep that in mind.

We would appreciate it if the titles and contents of the posts were related to general technical problems with the game. If you have an opinion on the matter please make it substantial and not just a rant.
For that reason the title is being changed.
Additionally even though there is a filter it is required that no swearing take place at all. Consider this a "G" forum where children under 10 do visit. We would appreciate if there was no swearing. Period.

i had the problem with the elevator the second time i came into the tower, i fixed it by talking to the servant and then going back to the elevator, and it went up just fine

the same thing happend to me, i talked back to the guard and it worked fine...no need to get mad...

I tried talking to the servant but the elevator still won't go up. And I apologize for ranting, this is just really frustrating when you pay for a game and it hardly even works.
I don't know what to do now. I've gone in and out of the tower a few times and talked to the servant before and after trying the elevator and it just won't function.
I'll probably just end up waiting until the 1.2 patch and start over hoping that it addresses this issue...thank you all for your help...
