altar of stars celestial shrine

I finally found the island of the moonbeasts and in the middle of it theres a celestial shrine. Also when I was looking for this island i ran into an altar of stars. Does anyone know what they are for?

The Shrines of Celestial Power are used for class-specific quests, namely the transition from Paladin to Crusader (to name one I've seen). As far as I know, they have no other purpose.
At least a couple of the game's altars were apparently meant to be used for empowering certain weapons. I have yet to see how they're used, though, and am guessing it may be something left out of the game at release.

Thanks. HMm. So one of them must be the one to charge the elven fire sword i wonder, what do you think? If anyone has got any cluw please tell me, i loved that sword

The Altar of Fire is in the Vale of Ruin. I went there with my Flame Sword, but you know what? My sword didn't do jack squat. It stayed exactly the same. Does the sword actually change, or is this part busted too?
