Okay so I'm in chapter three HOTU and I am in the puzzler room area. I'm having trouble with the lightning door. I activated all three switches on the islands and rotated the statues to the door. I activate the switch and all three statues started to blast on the lightning door. then I recieve a message that says "That didn't work There must be something wrong here".
Also note when I get the statues in position I hear a unique sound which leads me to believe that they are in the right position.

Anyone know what else I need to do?

In that same room there is 10 platforms, 3 of which had 2 levers. The light above all 3 of them should be the same (it's been a long time since I played HotU but I belive it should be blue light). So pull those levers until you get color you need.
