I'm new to SYM, but I saw the three word game and Lowkei said that you guys post games up here... so I thought that might be fun, as I laughed my pants off at the things you guys thought up there. Poor oozae?
It's a lame suggestion, but it can be turned good pretty fast if you guys like the idea. I was maybe thinking a game like balderdash where you say a really obscure word and the other players try and guess what it means. Thoughts?

That might be a valid point, but at least everyone can enter the 3-w-g, unlike this game where you aren't allowed to use a dictionary (a rule I can't abide to ofcourse, but the dictionary didn't help me much either 'cuz what the hell is mucus?), while being asked terribly difficult stuff especially when you don't know latin and rare words.

I'm not necessarily advocating multiple threads replete with mindless spam. But, I would like to point out that the entire origin and creation of SYM *is* founded on the spam that was occurring in the BG2 Forum about 4 years ago.

As long as it is creative and has a level of wit or intelligence motivating it, I really don't get the problem.

For several months now we have been seeing a chorus (often by newer members who are unfamiliar with the history of this place) moaning and carping about "spam," and "post farming."

I don't like mindless stupidity (i.e posts where members feel the need to screech spam at the top of their lungs like a collection of baboons who have just discovered the remains of a safari picnic)... However, for crying out loud people, this is not a damn conference or some such. It is a forum whose very origins lie in banter and fun. At the very least, it has almost always had a balance of threads ranging from the very serious to the comic and absurd.

So, are you saying that Blennophobia is the irrational fear of spamming and postfarming, specific to new members of SYM? Because that's what I'm reading...

SYM=Spam but not that stupid spam, it's the witty sarcastic spam palace..
