Hey!

Does anybody have any Forgotten Realms books (2ed edition) they wish to sell?

Edit: No novels

What about eBay? I have bought pretty much all there is on the 2nd edition FR over there...

I've got some- which ones do you need? They make a pretty ecclectic collection, but I do have a lot of sourcebooks, a few boxed sets, and other stuff I don't use anymore.

My real strength is that I have almost all the character-specific books they made- Complete Warriors, Paladins, Elves, Dwarfs, etc. I also have the Player's Option books, etc.

If you need books for 2nd Ed. game mechanics, I've probably got it. If you just want flavor or sourcebooks, I might be able to help.

Well, I like setting books.
Spellbound, The Ruins of Myth Drannor, City of Splendors, Menzoberranzan, Ruins of Zhentil Keep, Empires of the Shining Sea, Ruins of Undermountain, The North Guide to The Savage Frontier, The Ruins of Myth Drannor.

Also, flavor books are very interesting.
Complete Elves, Complete Rogue, The Seven Sisters, Volo's Guide's, Cult of the Dragon.

To name a few but I don't know what you have so I thought I'd give eough examples to work with.

Ruins of Undermountain is an adventure...I thought I'd warn you

It says here that it's a boxed set.
Naturally it's pretty small and closed as it's underground in a 'dungeon'... so it could just be very similar to a adventure because of this or is it really a pre-written adventure?

Well, it says on the back of the Grand Tour of the Realms book that's an adventure.

I was confused as the review said that it's a boxed set, appearantly a boxed set can also be an adventure... to keep things easy.

Night Below is also a box setting AND an adventure

Spellbound also has setting information, but in addition it also has a quest or two. But I look at it as a setting, the adventure is extra.
The Night Below adventure is rather big so that's IMO different. Not that I want it or anything.

No, I've already got it and you are going to play it (someday) . It wouldn't be any fun if you had if for yourself

I have:

-all the 2nd ed "flavor" books (Complete class and race books). I literally have all of them (except the few campaign-specific books), so if you want any of those, I can help. The complete Paladin, Bard, Druid, Ranger, Dwarf, and Elf are particularly good, imo.
-Various and sundry PHBs, DMGs, and Player's Option books. The Player's Option, Combat and Tactics was expecially helpful to me.
-Zhetil Keep (a great box set, btw)
-An older compaign setting (box set)
-Cult of the Dragon (book)
-Seven Sisters (book)
-All 4 magical encyclopedias- these books are GREAT! TSR attempted to account for all the magic items ever published, and these 4 books are the result.
-I also have a lot of stuff from the little known campaign world of Mystara (I liked it, no one else did), including quests with CD Audio tracks (search for the "Night of the Vampire" quest). I have some Dark Sun materials as well (a very underrated campaign world. You could do some Dark Sun stuff in Anauroch as a desert campaign, Rudar)
-ummm.... lots of other stuff. I can't think of what exactly. All my old D&D stuff is in boxes at my parent's house.

If you are seriously interested in buying anything, I will be happy to part with any of it. I don't use any 2nd ed stuff anymore, and I don't really game anymore either. But... where do you live? The realities of the exchange might be... tricky, to say the least.

-Do either of you guys have the old "Dragon Mountain" boxed set? It was one of the first 2nd ed boxed set adventure/setting (similar concept to the Undermountain boxed set). I remember having so much fun playing it, and I would love to either find a copy or an online version.

Yes, I know. I have the Dark Sun campaign setting box. It's a rather tricky setting though , but very fun to use in a FR campaign. Good thinking on the Anauroch thing!

Yeah, it is a really tricky setting, especially because they reformed it and re-released a revised boxed set towards the end of 2nd ed. The newer boxed set is, imo, the best-done boxed set in all of 2nd ed- for example, it came with a paper map for the DM to use with all the secret stuff on it (unknown cities and regions) and a cloth map for the players to use! That is a great boxed set!

My old DM mentioned something once about doing a Dark Sun campaign in Anauroch, but he never did anything with it. I thought it was a great idea, but that enough Decanters of Endless Water could make you king of the desert pretty easily. The Decanters don't exist in Dark Sun (the creators wisely realized that ahead of time)
