Anothe T3M4 bug? (spoiler)

I did a search of the forums, but I didn't find this one in recent threads. I'm at the Secret Academy on Telos, and I am trying to free T3. In my last run of the game, what I remember is that you talk to him and you get the dialog option of sending him to the ship (although I could be wrong on that). Well, this run-through (after the patch), I don't get any dialog option that frees him. So I thought maybe I was remembering wrong, and I went looking for a console to free him--but no luck. So now I'm thorougly frustrated, and I have no idea what I really need to do to free him, but it appears as though there's a bug (unless I'm missing something really obvious here).

There should be a dialogue where you send him back to the ship. Out of curiosity, have you tried just boarding the ship and seeing if he shows up?

I get no dialogue to return to the ship. My choices are Upgrade (Computer), Upgrade (Repair), make a spike, upgrade a weapon, and goodbye. Trying to upgrade him worked on the first computer upgrade, but I'm too low-skilled for the rest of them. No success/failure opens any more dialogue choices.
Returning to the ship gives me the message "You must have all your party members to board the Ebon Hawk."
I tried reloading earlier saved games, but they all brought me to the same point.
