I know you get a warning from a Cowled Wizard when you first cast a spell in the street, but what happens if you repeatedly cast spells in the streets without a 5000gp license? I've experiemented, but nothing happened.

normally a bunch of cowled wizards warp in and start kicking your ass. unless your party is really good.

Nothing I guess, maybe you'll have to pay money or something, I mean, it would make things easier if they'd put you in Spellhold, but...

Thanks Alienbob. I took the safe route and payed the 5000gp, just in case. Seems like I was justified.

Magusg there is a post on this the only thing is I don't remember what it is under.

All it said if I remember right is that they talked about some supposedly super wizards appear and someone else saying that they were regular wizards.

If I remember what topic it was I'l post it.

I had heard about some super-wizard that would eventually come also, but others said they had defeated several parties of the wizards and it was always the same. No super-wizard. too bad.

The question you have to ask yourself is, "What does my main character think of the Cowled Wizards?". Would you give them 5000gp? Do you give in to them because you don't want to bother with them? Or have you begun to hate them and would welcome their feeble attempts to punish a child of Bhaal? Just a thought.

There is another question. Do you want to get your butt kicked because you forget the warning and you are unready for them? or Why to I have to attack everone in this game? Pay the money thy can be Hard to beat.

early on in the game though they r pretty tough. 5000 gp isnt all that much in the long run, and its nice to be able to cast spells with out worrying about some annoying wizards getting in your way

These mages stole your childhood friend, show no remorse about it, and are evil! How many people have the done this to? How many others do they have to hurt before someone gets the guts to stand up to these mages? I say kick 'em! If you're early on in the game, avoid them.

I can say this, but I have yet to do this myself, so I'm just spouting off at the mouth.

All I can say is that my team of Blockheads attacked, and won againest them when my only mage, Nalia, used magic. So, I cried my usual battle cry (Go for the Eyes Boo! The Eyes!) And smashed them up real good! By the end of the fight, they were looking really jibbed...
