Broadband Usage Limits

OK, so say I get 1mps, 2GB monthly download limit broadband, right? I'm not a big downloader, so 2Gb should be fine, especially with only a 15GB hard drive to fill.
Does this 2GB reffer to "downloads" or any information i access on the internet, (since in theory, this is downloaded onto my pc?) And as a regular internet user (a few hours a day) will 2GB a month be enough? Normally im on GB,MSN, and surfing a bit, and a few webcomics.

Many thanks for all help
*hugs*
Giles

'Downloading' in this case refers to every byte that comes to your computer via the Internet. 2 GB should be enough.

Excellent. I can change the "plan" (i.e usage limit + cost) that I am on up to three times a year with no charge, so if i'm dying, i'll change!

Is there anything I can do to reduce the amount coming in/out my p.c (any way of increasing storage limit for temp internet files and such...)

You could stay offline as much as possible, limiting the amount of system traffic (from Windows to server etc.), and disable auto checkers (like Outlook Express checking for new-email) AMAP.

You can also block banners with firefox's AdBlock extension so that they aren't downloaded on your computer. That can make a substantial difference since many of them are pretty heavy (grrr... flash banners

)
