There's an archery WC going on in Allborg at the moment. I would like to follow it through a webcam, but it's sooooo slow I cannot see anything! Looks like pictures swapping every third second...

Actually, I haven't seen a webcam that worked well so far. Do you know the reason for that? Why are they so slow? (I'm pretty sure it's not my end, I have a fairly good machine and everything else runs w/o problem).

Sending live feeds produce an amazingly large amount of strain on any connections bandwidth. The fact that you're seeing what appears to simply be a picture swapping is the result. It's more than likely a lack of suffcient juice on their end, combined with the quality and allowance of bandwidth through the ISP.
