DirectX 9.0c

I've recently bought Rome Total War and was told by Activision Support to download and install DirectX 9.0c to eliminate it's slowness and choppiness and to improve overall performance. The problem lies in that I don't have an internet connection at home. I only have it at work. However, I do have a flash drive. I've attempted to download DirectX 9.0c from Microsoft.com but that only appears to download an installer that, once executed, will link to an MS server and install it from there, meaning I still need to have an internet connection. Any ideas on how I can install DX on my home PC without an internet connection?

Nevermind. After actually reading the page with the DX 9.0c download, I found another link that is supposed to be used by people who don't have a network connection. This thread can be closed.

Directx
If you update directx you also need to update your video drivers for the directx driver. If you have nVida video go to
http://www.nvida.com and update your video dirvers. Check your BIOS because maybe you also need to update the bios for Directx C. So go to your board site and down load your bios for directx C.

Actually, I have already installed the latest video drivers for my video card and loaded the RTW 1.2 patch. I wasn't aware that I may need to update my BIOS though....
