I heard from somewhere that if you are the true love of the sleeping man, he will arrive to help you out in the end fight against big M.

Is this true? If so, how useful is he?

Its true, this happened in my game. Not really sure how useful he was, I didnt notice him that much but he was casting Cleric spells all the time so i suppose he did something to help

Great, seeing that I'm currently starting a new chaotic evil female character who is going to kill the seer (and thus also the 2 henchmen from act 2) and turn Asberth into an evil blackguard that will probably turn against me, I need all the help I could get for the last battle.

Oh yes, I got a game with the ending as my female char as the Sleeping man's true love.

She is a 20monk-20cleric with Wis24. With this wis lvl, she read the entire story by inspecting the sensei's amulet. There was no need to wake the Sleeping Man and no need to kill the sensei.

So.. when I asked the Knower of Names who his lover was.. it turned out to be my char.

I tried several other builds, including a 39Sorc-1Paladin with lower WIS. BUt none came to reading the story entirely from inspecting the amulet alone.

I take this opportunity to ask another question.

What determines whether our chars get the answer that our lover is Cassandria the beautiful?

None of my female builds got this answer. All but one monk / cleric (hahaha... weird) got the sleeping man to help in the Mephi fight.

All my guys that got the lover answer were Lawful Goods.

It's quite random if your character get a true love or not. And who it is seems to be even more random...
