Redeemed Dark Sider

Post by Cheester89 »

Guys what's going to happen when you redeem yourself after being a Dark Sider and a Handmaiden and Kreias conversation? Is there any change in a gameplay?
The Light Side is the only honorable way of the Force that tries to bring peace and happines to the whole Galaxy. If you can master it then you can truely become a Jedi.

Not really except for that you will probably get increased influence with those NPCs. It will be hard though since you probably skilled a lot of dark side powers by then which will then cost a lot of force points because of the alignment mismatch.

It won't have any special influence on the storyline though. :)

I have a word of warning, too. I just finished the game doing the opposite of what you've described (I went light side till Nar Shadaa, so could get Mira, then went dark so I could drag everyone down with me) and I ended up as a grey jedi, despite the fact that my goal was to go as evil as possible. I killed every innocent I could find, and said all sorts of nasty things to my party members, and still ended up grey, which leaves you not only relatively powerless (all the cool powers go to the extremes), but also shuts you out of certain aspects of the game. I couldn't even (spoiler) go into the tomb inside the caves on Korriban because apparently you have to have chosen your path by then. I had chosen my path, I wanted to go dark, and I was depending on the caves to do that for me, but the game had other ideas.

All this being said, you may find things working out differently for you, because i suspect that there may be more opportunities to go light than dark (Star Wars is about redemption, after all). I just felt I should warn you, anyway.
You can't fight evil with a macaroni duck.

This post contains spoilers. *cue dark music*

That was an interesting point for me; One of the more challenging aspects of the first game was playing the Jolee or "Gray" Jedi. Of course, you missed out on the special robes on the Star Forge, but that was part of the challenge. This game totally removed that part of the game, because you could only do certain things (some of them required, like the Visas attack) after you reached a certain alignment.
