right, i postponned entering verdistis just because i can't make up my mind about joining one of the guilds. what would be the best choice, considering the economy of the skill points... from what i've read in the walktrough i would lose alot of points on the picklock skill. is it worth it?

You don't have to choose what guilds to join. You can join all those that are open to outsiders.
