Unless you try it for yourself you will never find out!

Well playing darkside will give you acess to a whole entire suite of completely different force powers so I suggest you try it.

You can learn the same powers, though, regardless of whether you go with the LS or DS. It's simply that the other side of the coin always costs me in terms of energy--so if you're playing a LS character, DS powers cost more points.

That's what I meant. You're not gonna want to use powers if they're twice as expensive to use.

Personally - I think there is way to little difference between LS and DS play.

There is a lot of difference, different dialogue, different styles of interaction with NPC's, differnet ways of completing some quests. It can be as different as you want it to be depending on your style of play.

Well - there might be a difference in dialog but it is more of a differnet reply to the same dialog, and until some of the latter events, the dialog is all but meaningless and has little to no influence.

Carth still stays with me as I am as evil as can be towards people even if he complains, as does all the others. (Until near the end).

Quests might look different, but finding Item X and giving it to Person A instead of Person B is not that big a differnece in my book.

I still hold that there is very little difference between LS and DS play, other then the dialog choice you select and the force power you use.
I had expected different quests, different "consequences" (the few there are) from it, different dialog but I got presented the with the same ....
Difference is minimal.

Good point, now I think about it there should have been differnt quests depending on which path you go down.

There is, at least, one different quest. In Manaan, the water planet, if u do the "Genoharadan Bounty" quest, u get tons of DS points, which makes this quest "unavaillable" for LS gu(a)ys (if u dont want to screw ur reputation).

It takes about 3-4 hours of gameplay less to complete the game thew when playing LS character - and it is not because you already know where to find everything.

Also, IMHO Mastery bonuses are far more useful when you are playing LS then DS (+3 to Str, Con or Cha, depending on Jedi class compared to +1d8 damage, imunity to poison or +50 force points), I mean +1d8 points of damage is not that much (and you get the same or more from Solari crystal that you can't use as a DS), I don't remember anybody trying to poison me and additional 50 Force points at least useful on lover levels (but I belive you get bonus FP for high Wis and Cha and as DS you can't use Circlet and Star Forge Robe - I manage to get more FP as a LS consular then DS even with same stats).

I personally found DS more enjoyable being mean to people is a great way to relax, even if it does make me fell guilty sometimes. I suggest playing it over again just to have fun making NPCs really mad at you and to see the different ending.
