Concerning boots

I am a quite high level character with an armor collection including daedric, ebony, glass, dwemer, her hands etc. armor (including boots). However, I always stick to those filthy netch leather boots known as the boots of blinding speed. I guess about everyone knows those, and I wanted to know if you stick to those boots too, or rather wear those cool, strong daedric boots or others.

PS: Please answer the poll

I prefer to stick to powerful boots and if the come with constant effects then even better for me.So right now I use the Boots Of The Apostle.Armour Rating with my current light armour skill level is-265.Another thing I look for a lot is the weight.I can only carry 500 so i make sure I carry a lot of light stuff.Thats why I stopped usind daedric and ebony amour that and the fact that my current armour is way more powerful.Hope that helps :)

BoBS i simply don't have the time to walk around vvardenfell if i play the game(which i don't) but when i did, i needed to get to places fast and getting the BoBS is the 3rd thing i do every game, maybe an argonian char would kick me out of it, but too bored to start one..

I don't like the Boots of Blinding Speed, if I use any enchanted boot I go for the Boots of the Apostle, good AC and the levitation spell is far more useful than being able to race blindly about the countryside IMO.
My favourite boots currently, though, are simply the ones you get as part of the Dark Brotherhood armor. They have a decent (but not overpowering) AC, they look pretty good, and they don't weigh much.

i usually end up with over 200 strength so weight has never been an issue for me. i usually end up using daedric boots with a custom CE enchantment. I found the boots of blinding speed a few times, and with 100% magic resistance you get the speed without going blind. They're usefull, but i just really like the look of the daedric boots, plus the 266 AC

Argonians can't wear boots, so Zarustha is bare-footed. It looks cool, actually, her standing there decked out in her heavy Silver Ebony Armour with bare feet. Very amusing.

I have found the Boots of Blinding Speed with her, but she sold them. If I start up a PC who can wear boots, I don't see them wearing the BoBS either - unless it fits with the roleplaying style of the character.

Since argonians can't wear boots (as has been said twice before), I go barefoot (although there are mods for special beast boots/leggings). Hairy was right, in that standing barefoot in a 200LB suit of armour is pretty cool. Besides, without the use of boots, beast races must have wickedly callused feet: getting kicked by an argonian must really hurt :D

But sadly.. since i am not familiar with those America weight units so it is hard to create idea of that.. I kwon that there is atleast two beast leggins plugins.. but now i cant find even one of those.

With my new character I always wear Redoran armour (sometimes clothes) so thats bonemould boots, with my old character I usually wore robes with exquisite shoes, when I had to fight I wore Glass armour.

@Eggy
Do a search at Morrowind Summit for "Boots for Beasts". That's one of them, anyway. I've not installed it, as Zar quite likes wandering around barefooted.

As an absolute boot-head I feel obligated to reply to this thread. The BoBS are single-handedly the most useful thing in the game, and they are essential unless your character is very fast & acrobatic by him/herself. Moving around at the very start is painstakingly slow, which becomes obvious when the walk to Balmora takes ten minutes real-time, without stopping... 'Nuff said.

The thing is, it's hard to know what you miss if you decide not to use them. (This happens to be a good argument to not wear them in the first place) Once you put them on the first time (with a twinge of anticipation & excitement) with 100% magicka resistance (for my part usually a few downed potions from nalcarya), you realize that the game has just evolved into something else; a game where you can actually run around & frolic & dance & get to places in what is a normal amount of time.
For this reason my most common start to the game is do the quick Seyda Neen quests (I feel they are mandatory), and then silt strider to Balmora -> guild guide to Caldera -> pick up Pemenie & watch as she dies to a cliff racer on the way to Gnaar Mok (I'm too weak to help her), get the boots & almsivi to safety. THEN I'll go on in my game...

I know i'm ranting, but it's fun.

I think my conclusion would have to be that while the boots might make you a tad too fast, the game itself makes you too slow by default. i would rather be too fast then too slow... :p

Here's a little tidbit some of you might not have known, when you and Pemenie get to Gnaar Mok talk to people about her and you find out she has a bounty on her head for selling shoddy items (boots of blinding speed is evidence of shoddy items), talk to her about the bounty, keep talking about it (clicking on bounty) and she should attack you giving you what little she has :D , if you checked at the Character Information Thread you would know my newest character had 1 reputation. That's because I killed Pemenie. So if your a glory-hound you might want to have a serious chat with her about her bounty.
