Ever bought something special or extreme for a lot of money when everybody said you were a fool to buy it? What do you think now? Was it worth it or not?

I want to buy a pair of Legolas Daggers from Lord of the Rings via internet as they are very expencive in Holland... they are expencive anyway but there is a huge difference.

Many people say it's silly but I still want them.

My house and all the stuff to go in it, now that was expensive!

Well, house and cars and stuff don't count since they're necessary for everyday life...

And I'd like to hear about something that you've already bought or firmly decided to get, so not stuff like "I'd buy a Z4 if I had the money for it" :)

Still wondering, if it's really worth it...

... diamonds from de Beers for my wife.

It's only my wife who says they're worth it. :D

I hate to disagree but some people get on just fine without a house!

I agree...

...most especially if you are talking about luxurious cars and houses when relatively cheaper or practical ones would do just fine.

Well, I once imported the full set of AC Clarke Rama books, in paperback and the deluxe edition with nice paper and stuff, at the same time. It costs, at least, five times more than the portuguese Brazilian version (that I also have) but the books are definitely worth it, and completed my collection.

I'd love to spend money on knives and katanas, however, but I'm still analyzing that before, since they will end up like a decorative set of weapons only, but will remain sharp... well, dont want any kid to be hurt, and kids cant see swords and stuff.

The "Full Clip: A Decade Of Gang Starr" Double-CD I bought when I was in Paris. It was grossly overpriced, I paid about twice as much as I'd do when buying it at shops in Germany or through the internet.....but the moment I saw it I just *wanted* it :o

I paid 50 canadian once just to get the chance to feel the diffrence between natural and implant boobies before, I must say to that the naturals feel much nicer to me as the siliconers where a lil tuff. To anyone who lives in holland and parties then you would know where I did this (bananen bar). Yes I know 50$ isnt alot of money, but to actually spend ANY AMOUNT OF MONEY TO TOUCH A WOMAN IS EXTRAVAGENT TO ME! ops cap lock to lazy to reverse!

I really don't buy too much, but there have been quite a few nights where I've blown a few hundred dollars on taking my friends out for dinner and booze and gas money and entertainment and such. I'd rather have just bought expensive stuff than done all that honestly.

@Venoms, Screaming for negative attention gets old quickly.

Nah, would never do that. Against my religion, demeaning to women and all. I was talking about a girlfriend.

That I forgot, fixing my computer. Not upgrading no, but repairing it from when my friends get drunk and ruin it at parties. I've put more into fixing it than I bought it for.
