Experiences with Norton Internet Security 2005??

Does anybody have experiences with debugging problems aquiered after installing NIS 2005?

It seems I run into problems ever so often with NIS, but I had solved all problems I had when running NIS 2003.
However - I installed NIS 2005 the other day and this was the result with World of Warcraft:
After NIS 2005 - 1
After NIS 2005 - 2
After NIS 2005 - 3
After reinstalling NIS 2003 - same perspective as first image
After reinstalling NIS 2003 - same perspective as third image

As it is visible, the terrain and buildings simply dissapeared.
Now - I uninstalled NIS 2005 and reinstalled NIS 2003 and have written to Symantec, although I pretty much only expect a "reinstall" answer and other standard issues (must be annoying for such supporters when they accidently communicates with somebody that knows something about this ;) )

Anyways - I'd hear if other GB'ers had experienecs with this problem and/or hints to a solution. My NIS 2003 subscription runs out feburary 1st, and now that I've payed (and reigstred) NIS 2005, I'd really like to run it - if I can naturally.

Also - I only tested a few other games, but there graphics seemed okay, but the games seemed to run much slower then usual.
I know it isn't hardware vs. game issues, but it is either NIS 2005 vs. other software or NIS 2005 vs. my hardware.

Weird... I bought NIS 2005 a few days ago, but haven't experienced anything like that. Of course I don't have WoW, but still, it seems to work fine with at least NWN, Halo, Morrowind, Jedi knight III and Heroes 4 (the games I have played since then)

Nis

I have NIS 2005 and in the default mode I have no internet access, nothing. So I lowered the firewall to minimum and that fixed the problem. Try it.

Update: I borrowed my brothers wow account and my grafics are so wierd, I see random colors in the sky, and sometimes items that are normally on the ground, floats about a halfmeter above ground.

Well - I managed to get WOW to look decently enough by updating graphics drivers, from the second newest to the newest, both much newer then NIS 2005 - and also messing about with the graphical settings.

However - I'm still dislikeing NIS 2005, and will most likely not renew my NIS when this runs out in a year - of if I grow to tired of it before hand.
I find that it hogs my system ressources way to much, and it is all but impossible to configure decently. I know have about 5-8 process running in my taskmanager all connected to NIS. On occasions it starts reading from my harddrive exessively and hogs up to 80% of my CPU power, irregardless of what I'm doing. It is also slow to start up and navigate in my view, and I do have a 2.4 ghz with 1gb ram and plenty of free harddrive space, so it is not my system. And I never had these problems prior to 2005.

And now also - just out of the blue, the firewall suddenly decided to stop allowing my Outlook to conect to the Internet, so I can't empty e-mails when I have the firewall running anymore  Stupid.
So now I'll have to test with Outlook Express or Thunderbird.

NIS 2003 was good - and I loved that one. My feelings does not extend to NIS 2005 however, and I wouldn't ever recommend it to anybody, and I will most likely not buy Norton again unless they shape up.
Annoying when I've just spend 600 d.KR (about €80) on it.
So now I'm starting to look for something else .... just in case.

Well, the ground looks good, it's the sky that looks awful. But when I entered Stormwind then everything became totally crazy. I couldn't see anything and it ended up with me falling in a canal and drowning because I couldn't see anything at all

LOL - This gets more wierd by the day.
Now I can empty e-mails again?? I've not changed any settings since I was able last time or during the 3 days where I wasn't allowed....

No wonder why many computer-rookies are scared of computers :D
I'd still not recommend NIS 2005 to a new buyer though, it is flacky.

I'm no computer techie or anything, as anybody here will know :D
But, have you tried Trend Micro? I find it way better than Norton. Nice, functional, intuitive interface, very efficient at detecting viruses, and it doesn't get in your way.
