Twins?

Just something I'd been thinking about for a while...
How many (if any) of you are twins? If so, are you identical? Fraternal? Do you get along? Does your twin post here as well?
Personally, I'm an identical twin.

I am not a twin, but I am presently conducting a study of twins where we examine the brains of monozygotic (MZ, identical) and dizygotic (DZ, fraternal) twin pairs in order to estimate how much of certain brain function that is genetically and environmentally determined respectively

It's a very interesting study that has already received a lot of attention although it's not finished yet.
I have met several twin pairs, and it's fascinating how extremely close some of the MZ pairs are, they call each other several time a day, they speak in "we" form, just as some old married couples, they choose to live in the same neighbourhood, they choose similar educations and careers. Others are more like any siblings, but it's certainly quite special to be MZ twins!

My cousins are twins, and their birthday is EXACKLY the same date as mine
(or maybe the other way around, since they are 9 years older than me)
Now, if that isn't weird, then I don't know what wierd is

Very interesting!
But how are you conducting this study?
Do you also compare MZ's who lived together all life with MZ's who have been seperated? To see if the differrence in enviroment/social place are important for them
Are there any "pre-conclusions" of the study?

@Fiberfar - lol - I take it you're not gothic? Look on the bright side - at you don't ever get confused, right?
Asriel - that's more then a little creepy! Cool, but creepy.

Well I have another one kinda in the same lane (or maybe it's just spam, you decide)
My name is Helge, and my fathers name is Arne. Now, my brother married this girl whose fathers name is Helge, and whose grandfathers name was Arne.
It's crazy...

A friend of mine has a twin brother. They sometimes fight, but at the same time they seem pretty close.
Yeah, TM, can you post a pic of you and your brother?

Ugh - I've never been so sick in my LIFE! RELATED to CM??? UGH!
Actually, he has his own screename (Drunk_Monk), but then he found out that someone else goes by that, and, not wanting to have 2, we basically just share this one.
Oh, and sorry to everyone, but I'm not going to be able to post any pictures. Confound my lack of technology.

(Trust me, though - you're not missing anything).
@Unregisturd: Tee hee. Yes, we're male (when last we checked), and how could ANYONE who is awesome enough to post on SYM have trouble with members of the opposite/same gender?

I think that Buck can fix that...
Actually, he has his own screename (Drunk_Monk), but then he found out that someone else goes by that, and, not wanting to have 2, we basically just share this one.
...tell your bro to use his Drunk Monk account and ask Buck to change his username to something else along with his explanation why he wants it changed. Afterall, if he indeed would be active here at SYM then he surely would avoid being associated with Der Moench. I think he would understand.

I'm sorry for the morbid joke
So we can't tell who's post we're reading?
No excuse, TM, we want a picture. Please

I know quite a few pairs of twins, and one pair are two of my bestest best friends...
It's weird, the elder, although only by about 10 minutes has become the 'mature' one, telling his bro off and making him do the washing up like a big sister or a mum
@CE - Just been talking to a bulemic twin I know, who says that eating disorders are immensely more common in twins, especially identical twins than in others. This probably speaks for itself though.

LOL. Wonder why we didn't think of that.

.
He said he's going to do just that! Thanks, Maharlika!
@ Brynn: Tee hee hee...we end up posting the same things anyway...not that big of a difference (although he mostly keeps to the "Word Association" thread, and occasionally the "Morrowind" forum.
