Trojan!

Somehow i caught a trojan (Downloader.Small.8.AK),
I get to open IE screens on startup, and i think this is related to it.

Somehow AVG doesnt catch it on a full scan, and neither does ad-aware.
But every now and then i get a popup from AVG warning me that i have this trojan and that i should run AVG to remove it. But then again, AVG doesnt find it.

Can anyone help me out here, or redirect me to another site/program that might do the trick for me.
I tried some other things suggested when i did a google search, but with no succes.

What is the path of the file since AVG can't find/remove it?

Also - check out this site

At work, we've had some success with [ulr=http://www.webroot.com/]Webroot's Spysweeper[/url]

The program itself is free, as is the first set of definition updates, but after that the subscription is premium-based.

Try Housecall from the Trend Micro website. It's a very effective online scanner using the same scan engine as their corporate level products. And it's free, always a good thing :)

Neither of them found the trojan.
But they found another, and i removed that one.
I didnt have the AVG pop up ever since, but i still have 2 open IE windows everytime i start up my PC.

Try this site, or go find an updated virus scanner. You can't go wrong with either Norton or McAfee's ones.

However if its spyware, try Spybot, I rate it highly and prefer it to Ad-aware. HijackThis and Adware Away can detect viruses or trojans that manipulate IE.

Tried them all, not sure about Hijackthis am not sure what to delete and what not.

I still have 2 open IE screens at startup, but no news from AVG or other scanner.

But thanks for all advice.
