So uh yeah,

I have been playing nwn for a short time and keep finding these fire opals. They don't sell, which could be a glich in my game or something else. I was thinking maybe spell component but I play a ranger, so if that then no use. I was wondering if anybody could give me a clue as to what their purpose is in the game. (and when I mean clue, I mean an answer and not just a clue)

On a more personal note when playing a Ranger...a bow with rapid fire shot is cool, but 2 weapon fighting is da bomb!

There is a thread somewhere about this.

Basically. The fire opals are simply for selling. However 1-2 locations you will find some fire opals marked as plot items, for what nobody seems to know (one of these locations is the creator ruins if I remember right).

However, because these stack, you should be carefull not to let Fire Opals autostack when picking them up, because if you pick up a "plot" fire opal, it would mark the stack as plot and you can't sell them.
