ive just noticed if you go beserk on sarevok, your pc will gain a bonus point to a stat depending on his class rigth after you declare your intent to send him back to oblivion
figthers +1 con
thieves +1 dex
mages +1 int
im pretty convinced that priests will get +1 wis
but for all you doody do gooders..no extra bonus..only the +1 cha and +1 wis for placing the tear

Yes and good guys get a invulnerability to any weapon lower or equal to +1, a hefty 2 point bonus on all saving throws.
Hmm... IMHO good guys are better of.

you misunderstood me..this bonus im talking off is NOT from placing the tear..it happens immediately after you decide to give sarevok an extra helping of hurt.

@Nighthawk: Choose? What do you mean by choose? I played a CG char (as I usually do, they're the coolest, yeeeeeeha!!

), but did not see any choices? help me out here pls

Well, not choose the reward, but choose their actions. Chaotic characters could go either way in most of the tests and have valid in character reasons for doing so.
This bonus is interesting though, I didn't notice it when I was doing my write-up so I'll have to check it out. I know Druids don't get Wisdom though.

for the sarevok bonus ive found so far that:
figthers gain +1 strength
paladins gain +1 con
thieves gain +1 dex
sorcereres/mages gain +1 int
but sadly you suffer an alignment change to neutral evil if you just pick any of the evil ways...there doesnt seem to be a good change for evil chars

The alignment change seems to be dependent on a combination of selections. I don't think any one choice causes it to happen. Despite all the time I spent trying to figure this out for the write-up, there are still some pieces I'm missing...the alignment change I have heard about but haven't gotten to figure out. This extra stat I hadn't heard of or seen before.
Every time I start to think we've covered everything, something new comes up.

ive tried making a fresh char and moving him to hell ar2900..nomatter what evil path in any test you take you become neutral evil if you dont are it already or CE..and if a paladin takes evil 2 times he becomes a fallen paladin

i played a cg character. went the evil way in th test where you can choose between having your stats lowered or have a party member killed. I resurrected the party member and i am still cg.

strange..but perhaps the game counts to see if the party member is dead or alive..try do it again..but doesnt resurrect the char

My brother (Daemion) remarked that according to the alignment, it is logical that the character didn't change his alignment.
After all, the character was CHAOTIC good, meaning he will primarily look after himself, and place others at the second place at best. If he has to choose whether he dies or a companion, he should always choose to live and let the companion die.
So the fact that you didn't change alignment is logical, since you choose the right answer. I wonder what happens, though, when you sacrifice yourself instead ... I think nothing - both choices are good for this character.

I was Lawful Good and let one of my party die
and my alignment didn't change.

That's weird ... and it still didn't change after placing the tear??

I did a little more messing around with this and it seems that Sarevok is the key to the alignment changes.
The alignment change appears to be attached to the Str bonus that appears in red. If I look at the character in Shadowkeeper, it says his alignment is still CG but in the game it shows as NE.
BTW, putting yourself before others is an evil trait, not CG. On the other hand, an intelligent CG character might reason that death is much less permanent than the stat loss and therefore the better option for the group!

if you pity sarevok and gain the wis and cha instead..that will also be listed in red and not show up like the strength bonus before youre in the game

Look at the Area Quests/Hell section.
I just listed out the actions/rewards for the good and evil sides in each of the tests.
