NWN - Divine pools

What's the use of the divine pools that can be found at the Temples of Tyr?

Just ask the people in the temple..it basically says they are good for quest items you might have missed or dropped along the way. So if you have dropped an item at some point in the game and try to complete a quest and can't complete it for some reason, visit the pool and you may find that item in there.

'"+!%/=(* that I didn't kow this before!!! I lost the book that contained the name of Maegel's army (or what), and I couldn't tell him even though I knew it b/c I didn't have the book with me. What a pity I didn't know this before...
Thanks, anyway, at least I'll know where to search from now on.
