Heyas, i just got 2 questions about installing the expansions..
I'm currently in chapter 2 of the original NWN module and just got SOU, now, what im wondering is that, am i able to install SOU and still continue from chapter 2, with all the SOU features?

and also, if possible, i think i will just start over, but could i play the original NWN module with SOU installed, and i'll be able to use the SOU feats, classes etc??

EDIT: wondering if it affects items, weapons and armor also? if i install SOU will i be able to play NWN original and be able to use/find SOU weapons?

thanks for any replies!!

Take it easy - no reason to post a second post like that, simply because people haven't replied within a few hours.

As for your first question - I'm not sure. This question was raised some time ago, you could try searching for it to see if anything was concluded.

As for your second question, then yes. If you install SoU and start a new game, all the SoU thingy (except for managing henchmen inventory) is availble from start in NwN. Such as classes, feats, skills and spells.

Third question: It will not alter any existing item in the original NwN.

sorry xandax, didn't mean no offence :)

just to get things straight before i start over and sorry if im asking the same question twice, no matter if i install SOU mid game, or before i start a new game, items in SOU won't show up in the original NWN campaign?

Yes. SoU dosen't alter the contents of the original campaign module.
It only alters the character related issues, such as skill, classes, feats and spells.

Note, however, that items like scrolls using the enhanced spell sets won't be available from NwN merchants (their inventories are fixed). I suspect that the drop lists for the monsters in NwN won't include any SoA items, either. Though I have not looked into the coding to verify this, my 2nd run-through NwN with SoA installed has resulted in 0 drops of new spells or items.

u can't not continue ur game when u install the new expension....u have to start over...so it's a goood idea to install all expansion at once.

monsters won't drop any new items or magic scrolls...however u can learn new magics and skillz n feats....
