I was looking at screenshots on this site from KotOR, and there's two (I think) pictures of this huge rancor on the (spoiler) Unknown World. I've never come across this thing in my game. There's even a picture of the huge thing on the back of my xbox game cover. Am I missing something totally huge? Or is it just a made up picture that isn't actually in the game? I also saw some more pictures which I didn't recognize from my playing experience. I'm assuming some are of that Yavin (Yavim?) place that you can only get on PC. Oh yeah, I play xbox.

Any help? It's really bothering me.

Er, I'm not sure if this is a spoiler, but: the rancors are all over the unknown planet.. They walk around everywhere and you have to kill them. Something must be wrong with you XBox if you can't see them, they really should be there, they don't seem like they're only meant for PC.

The only huge rancor i see is in the sewers...

Spoiler: I know about all the little rancors, but there are pictures of a huge one. And yeah, I know about the one in the sewers, too. But other than that one, I've never seen a big one. Only the little ones. But I see pictures of a huge one on the Unknown World... And it's really bothering me. I hope I didn't miss some like, major quest. I don't know how I could've, though. I've beaten it 5 times at least.

I remember reading about thoese screenshots somewhere else at somepoint.

As far as I recall it was something that was cut from the game, so I don't think you have missed anything. (I've not seen the sequence in-game either)

Unfortunally - it is some time ago, so I can't be more specific.

That screenshot on the back of the case is from a previous build of the game that did not see fruitation, there is simply no huge Rancor on the Unknown world. Many games show earlier builds of a game on their back cover, like Halo and a flying banshee on The Silent Cartographer level.
