Can you give us an idea of what specs you are running? Operating System, memory etc, and if an error message comes up on the crash?
Can you start playing the game and it crashes, or do you crash at the menu before the game?

I dont run any programs during the gameplay and i dont kno what specs are. the memory on my computer is fine i have about 80% free space and no messages come up when it crashes.

Specs = specifications for your computer.
CPU speed, Amount of RAM, Graphics Card, Hardisk space free, Operative System (OS) and so on.
Random crashs to desktop can indicate many problems, but I doubt it has something to do with the Throne of Bhaal installation.
Is this the only game that randomly crashes to desktop? Have you tried running ToB and seeing if that also crashes to desktop?

It is pretty hard to try and figure out why BG2/TOB crash, especially if they are the only games that crash.
There can be very many reasons for this, but withouth information about the system and what else can run it is hard to pinpoint the problem.
I've never experienced crashes with Baldurs Gate 2/ToB in the manner you mention, so I haven't even got personal experience to draw on.
The only thing I can think of at the moment, would be to reinstall the game.
Also make sure you have enough free harddrive space, the right Direct X requierments, drivers working proberly (especially graphics card drivers) and otherwise live up to the game minimum requierments. Other then such general advice it is hard to be more concrete

Okay thx for the help ill try it but when i uninstall and reinstall my old saved games are there, are there any hints on how to completely uninstall.
And i think it might be my trident blade 3d/mvp4 driver any ideas how to fix that?
