I'v been thinking about a mage I'd like to get going and it seems that he'd be pretty capable of handling himself all alone, maybe with dog, but who cares. The build i was thinking of was Necro: White, Fire, Summoning, and a little Conveyance. With fighting skills as Dodge, Throwing. I was wondering if anyone else has tried soloing and how successful they were. And if any vets think my build is worthy of a solo run, possibly with Dog.

Solo

I've played solo as a mage with a touch of elf. I concentrate on magic to get the mag/tech meter to max magic. I use Harm in most critcal fights because there is no defence for it. Yes it works in the final fight too. But I specalize in Force, Conveyance, and health. The leftover points I put to Intel, Const, and others.
