Question for Waverly

In another thread you mentioned that there was a 'command to enable the lich and vampire classes'. I haven't heard of this before. How do you do it?
(I posted this new thread in case you missed it in the other one.)

Well, you see, you give Waverly your leg and he pulls it. Then you can generate a lich/vampire character.

LOL
OK, I got to admit I fell for that one. Hook, line, sinker, and fishing rod. I did wonder why no-one seemed to have mentioned it before.
Hey, they would be pretty cool classes to play though. Expansion pack, anyone?

Hmm. They seem to be avoiding specifically 'evil' classes like the anti-paladin (though you can choose to play evil).
Try Vampire/Masquerade or whatever it is.
Either that or try and hit it off with the Vamps in the game - I'm sure they'd oblige!
You could be a necromancer and pray the expansion pack has an Nth level spell 'become lich'. That would be good. Ubik would go for that.

I've never understood why you don't have to seek out the phaladactery (sp?) of a lich in order to destroy it. Afterall, you have to stake vampires to destroy them.
And, if you want to find out how to become a lich, try checking out Von Richten's Guide to the Lich. It's a Ravenloft supplement (if you can still find it), but it details the ritual a mage will need to perform. It's a pretty tough process, plus if you fail, you are dead...no raising or resurrections allowed.

Good point. You *do* have to do that in IWD. Somebody here was bitching about how easy the IWD lich was compared to the BG2 liches. Well, in IWD you can easily kill the sucker but he keeps' coming back till you find and destroy his phylacteries. Not so BG2 or should I call it 'Demi-draco-demon-lich Gate 2'?

...talkin' about liches, yes the lich in IWD was a piece of cake, two/three quick strikes and he was gone. BUT the lich in the shadowed elven city 'Severed Hand' was hard. The best battle in the whole game (though I couldn't utterly destroy him...he was possessing an item unstealable that gave him MinHP=3...)

He was a piece of cake that kept coming back and blasting you with fireballs till you got him by the P's.
You scum-bag!

How could you attack that poor elf-lich (forget what they're called again). You get stacks of XP for helping him.
Just joking. I love it when people turn up and say "hey, you know that really helpful dude who gives you lots of gold and quests and magic weapons, well he's like really difficult to kill". You tried for how many hours? You guys crack me up!
PS Post that in the IWD forum and do you know the code/name of the item??? Heh heh.

...well I was just bored. Now I do know: There're always bad liches as well as good liches...
