I am so sick of all you jerkoffs complaining about the game being so easy! I DON'T CARE THAT YOU SOLOED WITH A BEASTMASTER WITH ALL 3s FOR STATS! I played the entire game with a party of 4 (Kensai/mage, Misnc/Boo, Jeheira & Valygar) and I found the game very challenging. I also didn't cheat, read walkthroughs, use this board or any of your loser cheapscate tricks. Please stop using this board to beat your chest it gets REALLY old. I'm sorry if you are the most briliant person on earth and you didn't find the game challenging, really I am, but STFU ALREADY! If you need more of a challenge I suggest trying to succeed in the real world and remember this is just a game. Please use this board to discuss the game, get help perhaps, work on romancing Jerheira or perhaps to discuss multi-warheaded flaming dwarves or whatever but please no more posts such as "Everything is Killable" or claims to have soloed the rune with a level 8 beastmaster. I, and the entire (non-jerkoff) community thank you.

EDIT: Rgiskard this meens you moron!

Whew! Quite volatile! But hey, I sympathize. :D I've got a similar post lying around here somewhere. :p

As far as solo beastmasters go, I don't believe that for a second. If any of you have soloed the game with a beastmaster, then pipe up, cause I'm calling your bluff! I think you're a liar. Prove me wrong.

And a Happy easter to you to

Well i must admit that i did find the game challenging as well on my first run through, as i didnt look at any walkthroughs or anything i only looked on how to kill balor. One of the reasons i found it hard was that i didnt find all the decent weapons, experimented with the npcs until i found the "best" ones. Mind you i must say that on my next run through i found it a lot easier.

Well i do agree with you White rabbit but i do think you could have taken a slightly different approach. personally the idea of soloing frightens me, it must be so lonely.

The game definitely was challenging the first time I played it (which was the second day it was out). There were no walkthroughs, no cheats, no fixes, and I legitimately sold my wands and bought them back, filled, at full price. Even then, I thought the item list grew too fat long before the end, but it was still a lot of fun.

And it still can be. White Rabbit, ignore the people who stroke their egos by complaining, "I took my character out solo and killed everything and everybody in five minutes and now I'm bored!" Just remember, they're only bragging here because they've got precious little else to bragg about. Playing isn't about the bored complaining of ease; it's about having a good time. :D

I know this has been posted about a hundred times as well, but here goes:

SUGGESTIONS TO BORED PEOPLE:

1) Insane difficulty setting: try fighting a couple of liches, greater mummies, and skeleton warriors instead of shadow fiends at the Umar hills!

2) DON'T CHEAT (why do I even have to put this up). Things i consider to be cheating: modding the .ini file, importing weapons/characters/etc. (ANYTHING that makes the game easier, I don't care about drawback items, but they're harder to find), cluaconsoling, shadowkeeper, AND taking advantage of nay game bugs (infinite exp, etc.)

3) Soloing is not as hard as u may think, esp. with the cap off: it's a LOT harder to play with six player-created weak characters, or to play a party that lack a vital component (6 people but no thief, a fighter-only party, a mage-only party)

4) Loading in high (but not super-high) characters: if you walk into the Unseeing Eye with a lvl 10 party, you'll find a beholder and a couple of Gauths. If you do it with a lvl 15 party... just hope you have the cloak.

5) Enjoying the element of suprise: if you're suddenly attacked, go for the fight - it's all the more realistic.

6) If you're REALLY bored, try this: go to teambg, find Dave's BG2 stuff, get the DracoLich, go to a big unpopulated area, and put THREE in. If you're not dead within five minutes, you're a game god. I ahd a guy with hacked lvl 25 characters do this. He lost miserably. Also see the new thread I'm posting on this topic.

Anyone who says they pulled a stunt like that is a flat out liar and needs to be beaten with a wooden stick. You are full of yourself and need to get something to be proud of so you can stopanoying the hell out of me.

I went through while looking at walkthroughs every few minutes. Died miserably every where. I must suck :( :D
