how do you kill the mordenkainen's sword??

How do you kill the mordenkainen's sword??
i havent been able to get rid of it except for waiting until it is unsummoned.
it is immune to physical damage and i havent been able to hurt it with spells.

I've heard dispel magic works, but any anti-summoning spell (Deathfog etc.) will work.

Just cast several magic missles at it and it will drop in no time.

Never tried that, how many MM does it take, and I assume the sword turn on you?

I think the sword would not turn on you. It will take about 2 or 3 casts of magic missles. (About 10 -15 missles)

The sword's immune to physical attacks. It's not immune to magic. Flame Arrow, area-of-effect spells, Melf's Acid Arrow, whatever you like. I accidentally killed my Mordenkainen's Sword once, got so carried away with it carving everything up I forgot a Fireball would toast it.

Hmm I wonder why a blade gets killed by Electrical or fire damage...Might need to look into fixing that.
Another good spell to get rid of it is powerword kill...
