A K-word and a wazzza-Sushi are noted for their lack of a point. Your point? - Curdis

A katana and Wakisashi still have a point, they just weren't meant for stabbing and jabbing.

It is so not a point. It is at best a corner. And you acknowledge in your post that it is not a pig sticker.
weren't meant for stabbing and jabbing
This has so little to do with SOA/BG2 that all further reference to this topic NOT in speak your mind will be considered a troll (and elicit no response - from me

Longsword
Bastard sword
Zweihander
Claymore
Scimitar
Shortsword
Epee
Falchion
Rapier
Katana
No-Dachi
Ninja-To
Wakizashi
Gladius
Falx
Whatever
They're all overgrown kitchen knives. Some may be more specialized in stabbing, slashing or hacking than others, but they're still... SWORDS!

@Aragorn, you've already been warned once regarding your tendency to flame. Consider this your final warning. Read Buck's rules for posting here. One more instance of flaming, and you can count on having some time away from the board.

@Aragorn, you don't need to edit out the flame after the fact; just don't write 'em, to begin with, and all will be well.

Not true for katana. Let you see some samurai movies if you cannot get other info, samurai's sword as rule is katana (depends on timeframe, of course, katana is relatively new weapon). It was used both for slashing and stabbing - as well as was wield both one- and two-handed.
I do not understand what all this is about, though. Is discussion going about what is sword in BG or outside BG?
