I reformatted my computer (Gateway) and now for some reason everytime I launch a game, (PS Torment, IW Dale, ect) the connection box to connect to the internet comes up?

Close the box out without connecting and the game will load up. But why is the connection box coming up in the first place?

Does it only happen with games?

I'd suggest downloading and installing a firewall that logs application activity. That should at least tell you what application or process is trying to establish the connection. Zonealarm is a good option.
