Stuck!

Okay, I've found the lance.. and got back to Montaillou.. but there's no war, no nothing. I've no current quests, and nobody wants to give me any!!
I didn't find Nostradamus, as I never got that quest.. is that the reason why I can't seem to get anywhere?
HELP!

Yes. it's more than likely.
If I remember correctly the war is supposed to start only after you have talked to Nostradamus.
I believe there is supposed to be a person in Montaillou who is supposed to give you the quest to go after him.
Might be the witch in the south eastern part of the map, or Leonardo (at his airship in the North eastern part of the map.

Leonardo is gone again.. I found the gem, and didn't get the second quest.
And noone seems to be willing to give me any..

This is one of the more annoying bugs in the game. If you complete DaVinci's quest (causing him to return to Barcelona) before getting the Nostradamus quest from him, then you're stuck. There isn't anything you can do to advance the game from that point, and the only thing you can do is load an earlier save.

talk to the woman in the south eastern most hut in the area.
theres lots of wolves near her.
she'll mention nostrodamus, giving you that quest, you can then tell her you spoke to him already and there will be a load more stuff you can say to here at that point about who she is really.
the nostrodamus section is pretty nasty combat wise.
Save VERY regularly.
like after every 5-6 people you kill.
