HotU problem with Shrunken hand

I've been playing multi-player HotU with my sons and we are having a problem crossing the river styx after the Mimic's room. Only my youngest sons character got the grappling Hand and we can find no way for the rest of our team to cross the chasm since there is no ability to teleport to the leader by that time. He can not drop the grappling hand or barter it either. He is also two weak to fight Grimgnaw's band by himself to try to get beyond that area. Is this a multi-player bug or are we missing something?

We had a similar problem in the beginning of the game when my character was the only one able to use the elevator to get down into UnderDark, but we used the rings to teleport to the leader. For some reason my character who was party leader did not get a ring, but that was not a big deal.

Any help would be appreciated.

I think the best bet would be to find the item-tag for the "Grabbeling hand" in the toolset, and then use console/dm commands to spawn it into the game.

I can't, however, say if spawning the hand into the game, will cause it to work proberly.

I ended up opening the Gem Hall placing a few more hands out and exporting it to the desktop to add to a test module. Then I joined the test module picked up the hands and saved the character.

Worked fine but a bit of a pain, I prefer my puzzles in the game not in the software :P

Good that you got it to work - but I think the general problem is that HotU isn't made for multiplayer, but single player. This is why you run into such problems as you have mentioned in this thread :)
(Although it would proberly have been more simply to just spawn the item into the game with the dm_spawnitem <name> console command)

But glad for you, that it worked out for now
