I entered and mimic took not just my armor but the ring that shows the path what do I do now!

Are you sure that the Mimic took the ring, and it isn't just unequipped?
The cut-scene when you enter the room and the mimic steals your armour will unequip the ring.

Try looking through your inventory a couple of times, to make sure you haven't miss it.

If it isn't there, post againg.

Ya, I played this scene over and over again trying different things, and every time the ring wound up somewhere in my inventory.
Here would be the spoiler though if he DID take it. Kill the thing and get your ring back LOL.
