Lightsaber use??

ok i just finished the padawan training.. and have just got back on the ebon hawk for tatooine.
i have crafted a decent lightsaber 4-23 damage
my question is.. how and when can i use it? says i dont have the prereqisites?
are there more things i need to do to be able to use it?
same goes for my jedi robe

You cant wield your lightsaber or wear your robes?
Then your not a jedi jet.
Either you cheated, or you have a (major) bug.

do you have a blue bar next to the red one(vitality life)
if u dont have it then you are not a jedi

when do you get that blue bar??
at what point in the game??
i mean they welcomed me to the jedi order as a full member??

To become a Jedi you must do the following:
1) Prove to master Zhar that you know and understand the Jedi Code.
2) Speak with master Dorak to determine your jedi class and gain the appropriate color crystal.
3) Create your first lightsaber.
4) Complete the Tainted Grove/Juhani test.
However, as far as game mechanics are concerned, you become a jedi before all that - right after the conversations with the council and the cutscene that shows your training. After the cutscene you level up as a Jedi, gain force points (the blue bar) and proficiencies needed to use lightsabers/robes.
If you have used a lightsaber before, just can't wield this specific one - look closely at the crystal combinations. Some are restricted to Light Side / Dark Side only.
Other than that, I see three choices. Either you did not actually level up (i.e. didn't click on level up) upon recieving your first Jedi level, it's a bug like Stilgar said (try patching to 1.03) or you cheated, also like Stilgar said (and basically, if you did, you're screwed).

You HAVE to level up. It's not an option, you automaticly go to the level up screen!

The game isnt hard, you reach lvl20 easy. And most fights are not that difficult.

It's been a while since I played it, so forgive me for not remembering that this one time is different that usual
