Can't exit Level 1 of Mutamin's Challenge

I just cleared the entire 1st level of Mutamin's challenge but I am unable to exit through either door to the deeper dungeons. I can open the door and get the enter icon with blue highlight but when I click to enter nothing happens.
Has anybody else seen this before? I hit all the walkthroughs and have seen no mention of anything tricky.
I'm up to date with the latest patch - 1.61.
