I need some ideas for a fun character, not some stupid powerhouse like the avenger/fighter or swashbuckler/cleric etc , but a fun class to solo with. I heard a blade was good , any suggestions?

Try a sorcerer. I had a lot of fun. IMO spellcasters are really fun for soloing. (read the council of mages/shadow mages topic for help). Also a bard could be funny, but remember that if you're singing the bard song,, you cannot attack the enemy.....so soloing is not so good IMO (but i don't ave experience on bard soloing..... )

Try some single class elf druid with DEX 19 and WIS 18 (to leave less for other abilities). Since druid do not have "Turn Undead" you'd going to have life hard enough. Plain druid, IMHO, might even be harder then any kit. Or take beastmaster, with his limitations you'd definitely have something to think about.

Bards are the coolest classes to solo with. Go with a bard kit of any kind.

or just not original but very nice solo with a sorceror.

I started a solo game with a Jester (bard kit). I really enjoy it.

A Wizard Slayer would be hard to to solo IMO. No potions, no rings etc...

The jester's song confuses enemies and you can stay invisible when singing. Get invisible... sing... watch as your foes hack & slash trough their freinds. Doesn't always work, especially when there is an enemy wizard but it can help a lot. Note: you do not get XP for enemy you do not kill.

Eh......loredweller elves cant be druid's.

if you wish an class really powerful to solo choose stalker /cleric, im with one on level8/20 and nothing can stop me, even the shadow dragon was pretty easy to kill, undeads? hahahah! on level 16 i destroyed all bodhi guild for aran just by hiding shadow and turning undead!

Try out a sorceror.

better yet try out a socceor

That stealth is very handy

Just for the records, I've also soloed a Jester and can confirm it as being one hell of a fun way to play

Try a Swasbuckler/mage. I am soloing one and it ain't easy! Of course I am still just a mage so that might be it.

I have to go with the monk....rewards in upper levels are fantastic. Plus its just really cool to see a monk kick but with no weapons

For a really interesting solo experience, try a multi-class Elven Fighter/Mage/Thief. A jack-of-all-trades for sure, but you never hit any of the higher levels. So this character takes a little thought when you level them up. How many of your limited thieving points to allocate efficiently? Which proficiencies to focus on? This guy will take a little planning for sure.
The added bonus for this class is that with the cap effectively removed in Throne of Bhaal, once you start playing through the expansion your character will become powerful and rewarding indeed!

Sorcerers are great fun. Monks are also, but quite hard to start out. I haven't actually tried a solo bard, but I have heard many good things about them. Also, I like assassins or assassin/mages.

These where power houses Thief/Cleric is not but i'ts FUNkey

I'm just started a solo with an inquisitor. I can see groups of creatures being hard, but so far I have not had much compition. I am still in Irenicus' dungeon though.
