I am confused by the rapid reload feat. Does this feat work like rapid shot with the bow - where you get 2 attacks per round at a -2 penalty?

The description just says "you get the same amount of attacks as with any bow". Does this mean you need the rapid shot feat as well to get the 2 attacks per round with a crossbow?

The description tells, that you get the same atttack with a crossbow as you do with an ordinary bow.

So that would be a no and yes to your question.
