kids or no?

So, how does everyone feel about having brats? Personally, I have absolutely no desire to have kids, and really resent people that bring their kids in public. I despise the fact that I have to sit through hours of a screamign baby on a flight, but i can't pay for a seat for my dog.
It angers me that I have to pay extra deposits/rent because of animals, but a family with a destructive brat doesn't have to.
I don't believe people with children should be given tax breaks..it's your fault you had the kids, you should pay for them. if anything your tax burden should be higher since you utilize more of the services.
Don't threaten my TV programmign because of kids either...
if you can't find a baby sitter- stay home! do not bring your kid to a midnight showing of a movie. do not bring your kids to a musical or the opera.
as a whole, kids should be bamnned from public places.
so, where does everyone else stand?

Don't have kids,
definitely don't want any.
I do, however, find those little leashes you can get for small children to be highly amusing.

I'd love to have kids, but I'm afraid I'd make them all messed up and stuff

If i get married yeah then kids. But they will grow to be messed up. I am already warping my cousins 7 year old son with star wars, star trek and AD&D. Heck me and him discuss how good KotOR will be. His father is gonna kill me!

Star Wars and AD&D I can tolerate, but Star Trek... Have you gone mad!?!?
I'd teach mine how to play a guitar as soon as it can, the sooner that it can appreciate guitar music as opposed to pop drivel the better.

And what is wrong with star Trek pray tell? Other than it beats the socks of star wars!
My cousins son listen to N'sync and stuff. I know he needs help. But he gets a real dosage of rock music - his parents dont like it - when i come over. So he is getting used to it.
His favorite song till date is Aerosmiths Mama Kin. I put that on like 3 years ago. He still loves it.

Everything is wrong with Star Wars AND Star Trek too, but the Star Wars movies are much better.
I doubt you'd be able to find a music event for him to attend to, I'm certain that there are laws against taking a 7 year old to like say a metal concert.

Law? Forget the law i am more afraid of his dad. And what he would do to me when he found out. I will wait till he is older or i move to the US.

That's the whole point! You get to bring 'em up with your twisted and dubious life values, then teach them to bawl and cry in confined public places (like airplanes and movie theaters). It gets no better. Then get tax breaks for having them. Way to go, I'm telling you. And when Dad is out with the little darlin's by himself, you'd be amazed at what Babe magnets they are ('course it is a little too late for that..).
Kids rock. Cancel the babysitter, take 'em with you everywhere.

Strong words there, nael...
...but yeah, given the nature on how you see kids then please see to it that you don't get to have one.
As I see from your post, you see kids as nothing but nuisance and an irritant to your personal life...
...you are entitled to your opinion but it would be nice if you don't compare pets (animals) with real kids.
There is more to kids than nappies, screaming, and adolescent angst. Being a good parent would take them as they are and would later see the fruits of their labor once their kids end up as fine individuals.
A smile, a kiss, an unpretensious hug from my son do wonders in relieving me from stress...
...and much much more.
Remember you were a kid once.

Other people's kids tend to irritate the hell out of me.
In our street alone we have tons of those little yellers, roughly estimated... 15 or so. Argh.Never a moment of peace...
But in due time, hopefully mine will irritate others aswell.

trust me- I do everything possible not to have kids- aside from abstinence.
and yes, i do see children as a nuissance to my personal life, that goes for anyone's kids and any i might end up with. I just have no selfish desire to continue my genes. admittedly, it would be fun to mess with them and make them kinda warped...
and i don't see a problem comparing my
dog to kids. actually there is no comparison, my dog is smarter and better behaved. he's house broken, knows right from wrong, actually has instincts fr survival, can figure out puzzles, knows the names of objects, etc. my dog as a puppy was light years ahead of a baby the same age.
true, i was a kid once, and i know how i was...i came out fine, but given that there are 6 billion people in the world it is extremely self absorbed of parents to assume their child will do great things. if that person weren't there, someone else would do the same job. most parents are covertly selfish beings who want to be immortalized through their children.

What can I say - this quote says it all - our man Nael hit the "nail" on the head. Dogs are smarter than kids, heck dogs are smarter than adults, in fact - they rule the world and we humans are just their unwitting pawns. All hail the true masters of the earth - the almighty dog...

see, now that's not what i said.
on a base level, most animals are smarter than human babies, at similar developmental stages.
but all that aside, my original point was not to compare animals to kids, but to compare my rights to a child's rights. my right for comfort and peace should come before a child's right to be annoying. my dog does not infringe on that right.
of course not all animals are well behaved, just like all children aren't monsters, but why does society turn a blind eye to the children and their parents?
