Minor Tech problem

It seems the longer I play SoA the more choppy the screen scroll gets. My pc is way above the recommended stats in all aspects. Was wondering if this is just me and if there is anything that can be done about it.

I'd make sure that you have the most up to date driver for your video card, see if that helps.

Ya, was one of the first things I did. I also made sure I had the latest DirectX too.
Thanks for the suggestion though

Me too, although, I have found a way around it.
Let it rest. If you play it often(me...) then the screen will go "grr" at you. Leaving the game off for at least five hours, mabey six, is a good fix.
Tell me how you go.

Is it only while playing SoA this happens? If not, it might be some other application you got running that causes system lag.
Do you play SoA unmodified and/or with latest patchs?

I am only running SoA, I do not have ToB expansion.
I downloaded a patch through the "Update" option on BG2 opening screen.
I did this as soon as I installed the game and never tried the game without it.
Just recently I downloaded the unofficial patch from Gamebanshee, as well as bonusmerchants. But the problem occured from the very beginning and neither of these downloads made it worse or better.
I do not seem to have this problem with any other programs, that I have noticed anyway.
Although if I shut down my machine, give it a minute or two then reboot, it does help somewhat. I definately never had to do this with any other program.
I am vanilla other than for the bonusmerchants and unofficial patch.

Cool. If you let it rest longer then it should cure the problem completely.
Happy gaming.

lower the color setting from 32 to 16 bit color, disable static animation during combat, turn off enhanced path finding...
