Well i was installing MOHAA and some idiot pulled the plug that links all the comps together so it shuts my computer off. This was right in the beginning of the installation.
I replug the main switch turn on my computer and volia, the has been installed according to both Win XP and the MOHAA cds. However the folder is empty.
Now the problem is MOHAA and XP read the game as being there. It aint there. I cant install, i cant re-install and i cant uninstall. On top of that if i ask it to repair or modify it cant do jack as the files arent even there on my computer.
So what i need to do is uninstall the game in WIN XP. So that WIN XP says the game is now uninstalled and i can install it again.

Try running System Restore and go back to the day before you installed the game. The machine should forget you ever installed it and let you start over from scratch.

You should just be able to reinstall from the CD, can't you just go into the CD through explorer and double click on the setup icon?

I understand CM's problem, it happened to me before. The registry holds the information that it is actually installed, but the files aren't on there. As HLD says, he needs to roll back to a point before any installtion of MOH was on the system.

Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore
When it comes up, pick Restore My Computer to an Earlier Time
Next, you'll see a calendar; pick a day before you installed MOHAA
Click on Next or Continue through the warnings (you may want to actually read them) and your computer will reboot. When it restarts and recovers to the desktop, your registry and system settings will be restored to the date you picked on the calendar. If you've installed any other software (including things like browser plug-ins or Windows updates), you'll need to reinstall those, too.

It only gives me till the 9th. Today was the 10th. And it only gives me till 4:42, but even then it cant restore the files or the way it was setup before.
It says restoration failed and that no changes were made. So i guess i am gonna have to muck around with the registry. Can anybody help with that?

Generally, I think that you can do a search for MOH, it's publisher (Electronic Arts, I think) and it's studio (which I'm not sure of).
To access the registry, click Start>Run>RegEdit (type it).
To access the "Find" function, go Edit>Find
Thats it as far as I know.

Sorry I only just saw this! With the registry, you only need the RegEdit program already on there. I suggest you go to HLD's recommended place to backup your system, as a registry problem can cause a whole load of issues.
