I'm a new IWD2 player and I'm having trouble killing Vrek Vileclaw in the Orc cave early in Chapter 1. When he's almost dead, I get a message, immune to weapon; I've tried having my characters switch weapons, from blunt to slashing, etc but to no avail. I also tried using Emma Moonblade's weapon, but still get the same response. Has anyone figured this out?
Also, I've noticed that sometimes when I pause the game to drink a healing potion, the character hasn't performed the task when I un-pause. I have to do this a few times to get it working. Other times, it's fine. I have the latest patch installed.
Any help would be appreciated.

Vrek is a troll, you need fire or acid to finish him off.

As for your character not having performed an action between pause and unpause, I think it depends on when in a round/turn you initiate the action.

you can use the burning oil that oswald sells to defeat him (and that is great, i mean, to kill a troll)
