Help I can't enter the hidden city

I have just completed the maze underneath the thieves guild but everytime I enter the underground city I get sent to ungloths beard instread after a scroll screen comes up saying welcome to the tales of the sword coast. I have already completed the tales of the sword coast. Has anybody else experience this problem? Is their a patch or something to solve this? Please help.
