Ok I got one how about Velociraptors, boy I'd like to have one of those for a pet, you said real you never said no extinct animals.

If not I guess chemosynthetic worm nodules on the deep sea ocean bed, real but really weird, don't need sunlight purely sulfur based, and so a whole ecosystem is sustained, deep where there is no light and where temperatures on average are below freezing but no those feisty nodules, use their chemosynthetic bacteria in their guts to produce food and energy, without oxygen carbon dioxide or sunlight, and they also tolerate the high temperatures of volcanic temperatures at the ocean vents.

Plus I think they are cool because their are good chances that life very much like it will be found in the oceans of Europa which orbits Jupiter, and that is just so cool.

No it means it feeds of chemicals rather then sunlight, with photosynthesis plants feed of sunlight and convert it to food, with chemosynthesis symbiotic bacteria convert the sulfur compounds continuously spewing out of deep sea vents into food for other organisms, this means that there are whole ecosystems in the very deeps which are utterly independent of the sun.

Polar bears. Definitely. They survive in, and are supremely adapted to, one of the harshest environments on earth. Go to the facts page at Polar bears alive for some very cool information about a very cool beast! Like this: did you know that a newborn polar bear weighs about 1 pound, but that a full grown (male) polar bear can be up to 1,500 pounds!!! I really have to believe that that is the largest growth factor in any mammal (let me know if I'm wrong).

Yes, I have to agree with Craig and Jae that raccoons rock.

Pandas and kualas are right up there on my list aswell...

And rodents too...ack! So many choices.

But in the end it should come to a surprised to what animal I like best.

While I love almost ever bird, including vultures, ostrages, and turkeys (the three ugliest birds), and of course tropical birds of all sorts ( ), my favorite bird has got to be either the mourning dove or the grackel/blackbird or maybe the bluejay.


Mourning doves are slow witted and lazy. They eat a lot and they live in fear. They have a dark sad cry that they greet the day with, but they are proud of it. I can really relate to them


Grackels/blackbirds travel in packs and believe in group safety. They try to acquire as many allies as they can, only to think the strongest survive when they find a birdbath or a feeder. They are relatively smart for a medium sized bird, but they are very messy and live in constant paranoia of danger. Again, I relate to them.


And the bluejay, a very aggressive and territorial bird. They are very beautiful with their assortment of blues and grays. They are very smart and brave. I have no relation to them, but hell, theyre cool.
