There is a thing which I have always wondered about. I have in my pack a sword which is called "sword of backstabbing" or "backstabbing sword" or something like that. Is there anything special about her? Is it bring any bonuses for something or even for backstabbing?

It's been a while, but I think it's just a short sword +3. Not bad, since there aren't too many +3 weapons at that stage in the game when you find it.
You can always view an item's magical/special properties by opening the inventory and "examining" the item. Use right-click on the item and it should bring a property page with a description and stats.

Yeah, it's an "ordinary" short sword + 3. It could actually be obtained in the end of BG1 as well...

as I recall it also has a super quick speed which allows
the thief a chance to ge the first blow in, not much of a help
as you get the first shot in with backstab in any event

IIRC, there's also another sword of backstabbing, the "+999 killing sword", used by Arkanis Gath when you mess with the shadow thieves, it was a weapon designed by the programmers to test the damage-system or something. I don't think you are carrying that around though...
